...continued. Having had a snack went back on the landboard to go have a look at the `lagoons' I'd been told about in the estuary mouth. Couldn't believe it when I saw the expanse of flat water with no breaking waves. Used the landboard again to transport kiteboard right down to the lagoon. This is going on a bit so to cut a long story short I had lots of really nice runs across the lagoon, over the shallow water sandbar toward the buoy on the main channel and back. I'm actually surprised how effortless kitesurf crusing is in calm water - could have stood on the board all day. My first time looking back at 100yards of board wake and thinking life doesn't get much better than this... Actually had to make decisions to turn round else I'd have been in Aberdovey real quick (and that'd be a hell of a walk if anything adverse happened :) Not exactly stylish jibes but did manage to keep the board moving and stay on it good number of times. TBH I'd have been happy water starting. Eventually started finding it hard to stay upwind and got dropped into the water a few times so came ashore and realised the wind had really dropped and the kite was barely staying aloft without being moved around - just enough wind to landboard back to car. 8pm!
